Halloween is almost here, and this month the Digital Meltd0wn Music Blogroll will be putting the spotlight on all the music blogs that are celebrating the occasion. I will be featuring all the blogs that have posted Halloween compilations, Halloween soundtracks, and other horror related music. Of course I will also be listing the blogs which feature Halloween music year round. Once I have gathered enough blogs which are celebrating Halloween, I will also be temporarily replacing the widget currently at the top of the page with one featuring only those blogs. I will replace it with the current one once Halloween has passed. If you are a blogger paying tribute to Halloween, please leave a comment and let me know. Likewise, if you you know of a blog that should be included on this list, please leave me a comment. I hope to put together the most comprehensive list of Halloween related music blogs available. Halloween Countdown 2008
I am excited to report that there is a community event taking place with several blogs participating. John Rozum started the idea of Halloween Countdown 2008 (More Info: http://johnrozum.blogspot.com/2008/09/youre-invited.html). Basically the idea is to make one Halloween related post a day until the end of the month. I should point out that the majority of the blogs on this list do not primarily focus on music, and although some of them may post an album or two during the countdown, the majority of them are sharing a variety of Halloween related posters, comics, novelty items, etc. So without further ado.. here is the list of blogs participating in Halloween Countdown 2008:

Zer0_II: I added you to my Halloween Countdown list. You can certainly count my blogs under the year round halloween / horror themed blogs in your list.
In answer to your questions left on my blog:
No you don't have to do anything to be added to list...
But you might want to also leave a msg for John at John Rozum and Jon at Random Acts of Geekery (Rozum got the ball rolling on the Countdown thing, and Jon over at Geekery made the countdown logo)- as they have countdown lists as well. And Erick at Wonderful Wonderblog is also keeping a pretty up to date list so you might wanna leave a post over there too. You can find links to all those sites in my countdown list.
I updated my list by going through all their lists and some others so I think right now mine is probably the most complete. I think the one flaw in the countdown concept was that each person seems to be adding sites to their list as ppl leave comments on their blogs and there wasn't one official list keeper so to speak, and so although mostly the same, none of the lists have all the sites or exactly match each other.
